- Revenue Inspector (RI): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University with knowledge in computer application. Age: over 20 years and below 42 years as on 1st January, 2025.
- ICDS Supervisor: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce or its equivalent. Only women candidates; age not less than 21 years and not more than 42 years as on 1st January, 2025.
- Village Agricultural Worker (VAW): Passed +2 Science or +2 Vocational course in Agriculture related subject in Crop Production (CP) / Horticulture (HORT) / Repair and Maintenance of Power Driven Farm Machinery (PDFM) from a recognized Board/Council/Institution; Diploma in Agriculture Polytechnic under OUAT is desirable and carries 5% extra marks in Written Test.
- Junior Assistant (JA): Passed +3 in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent with knowledge of Computer Skill.
- Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI): Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by CHSE, Odisha or equivalent, or Diploma in Engineering from Institution under State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha affiliated to AICTE, having knowledge in computer application.
- Amin: Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by CHSE, Odisha or equivalent, or Diploma in Engineering from Institution under State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha affiliated to AICTE, with knowledge in computer application (as per detailed table text).
- Statistical Field Surveyor (SFS): Passed 10+2 examination conducted by CHSE, Odisha or CBSE or CISCE or any other examination equivalent thereto.
- Odia language: Must be able to read, write and speak Odia and must have passed ME School Exam with Odia as language subject, or Matriculation with Odia as medium in non-language subjects, or passed Odia as a language subject in Class VII or above, or passed Odia language test in ME School Standard conducted by School & Mass Education Department.
- Other criteria: Must be a citizen of India, of good character, and if married must not have more than one spouse living except as exempted under personal law.
- Junior Assistant-specific: Must have registered name in an Employment Exchange of the concerned district (or State/Special Employment Exchange with Resident Certificate of concerned district) on or before the date of submission of online application.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwDs): Must possess Permanent Disability Certificate / UDID card with not less than 40% disability in the category and sub-category suitable for the post, as per Annexures I to VII.

- RI, ARI & Amin: Age relaxation up to five years for candidates having actual work experience in settlement/consolidation organisations.
- As per Odisha Payment of Recruitment Examination Fees and Refund Rules, 2025.
- Candidates other than Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) shall pay Examination Fee of ₹ 500/- using Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card / UPI through Payment Gateway during online application.
- SC, ST and PwDs candidates are exempted from payment of Examination Fee.
- Examination fee of ₹ 500/- shall be refunded to applicants who actually appear in the examination, after verification of attendance records, to the same bank account / payment method used at registration.
- No refund is admissible to applicants who fail to appear in the examination for any reason.
- If Confirmation Page is not generated after fee payment, transaction will be cancelled and refund credited within 48 hours; applicant must make another payment for successful application in such cases.

- Stage-I: Written Test – 100 marks, MCQ type in OMR/CBRE mode, of minimum standard of High School Certificate Examination.
- Written Test pattern: Mathematics (20 questions, 20 marks), General Studies (20, 20), English (20, 20), Odia (15, 15), Computer (15, 15), Logical Reasoning (10, 10); duration 1½ hours.
- Negative marking: One-fourth (0.25) of marks assigned to a question deducted for each wrong answer; multiple answers treated as wrong; no penalty for unattempted questions.
- Minimum qualifying marks (Written): 30% for ST, SC, PwDs, Ex-Servicemen and Sportspersons; 35% for others. VAW candidates with Diploma in Agriculture Polytechnic (OUAT) get 5% extra marks (capped at total marks).
- Stage-II: Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills – 50 marks, 1 hour; qualifying in nature with minimum 40% for all candidates.
- Number of candidates shortlisted for Practical Skill Test: not less than 3 times the number of vacancies, category/special category wise, as per merit and availability; Commission may vary as per requirement.
- Merit Lists: Provisional Master Merit List based on marks / normalized score in Written Test; Provisional Screening List for Practical Skill Test; Provisional Merit List of Practical Skill Test; Screening List for Document Verification; Provisional Select Lists post-wise / district-wise.
- Document Verification & Counselling: Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification by District Level Board and then counselling for choice of post and Department/District/Range; allotment based on merit-cum-choice and availability.
- Commission reserves right to conduct additional/re-test for Written/Skill Test, reschedule tests, and cancel part or whole of recruitment at any stage.
- Candidates must apply online only through OSSSC website; applications other than online / incomplete shall be summarily rejected.
- All eligibility conditions (except age) must be fulfilled as on the last date of submission of online application.
- No Admission Letter shall be issued to candidates whose application is incomplete or who do not fulfil prescribed eligibility criteria.
- Provisional Admission Letters / Intimation Letters for Written Test and Practical Skill Test shall be uploaded on www.osssc.gov.in only; no hard copy will be sent by post.
- Candidates must regularly visit the Commission’s website to track notices, exam dates, and download Admission / Intimation Letters using User ID and Password.
- Information uploaded on website will not be supplied separately under RTI Act, 2005 and will remain available for a specific period only; candidates should download and preserve it.
- Candidature remains purely provisional and is liable to rejection at any stage for deficiency / misrepresentation / use of unfair means.
- Multiple application forms by a candidate are not permitted and will lead to cancellation of result and other penalties as per rules.
- In CBRE mode, appearing in more than one shift/date by furnishing false information is treated as unfair means and penalised.
- Commission’s decision on eligibility, acceptance/rejection of applications, penalties, mode of selection, exam conduct, test centre allotment, preparation of merit list, allocation of post, and debarment is final and binding.

- Registration (New User): Fresh candidates who have not registered earlier for any recruitment of OSSSC must complete Registration by providing required details and uploading full specimen signature and passport-size photograph in prescribed formats and sizes.
- Re-registration (Registered User): Candidates already registered for any other OSSSC post must login using existing User ID and select “Re-registration” option for this post.
- Mere Registration / Re-registration does not mean filing of online application; candidates must login again and fill and submit the detailed Online Application Form as per instructions on the screen.
- Fill in all data and information as per certificates/records, upload required documents, and make Examination Fee payment (if applicable) through available online payment modes.
- Ensure that the photograph and signature uploaded are clearly identifiable/visible; otherwise registration/application is liable to rejection.
